PWR! Step on All 4s - Getting up

Amy demonstrates how to use the PWR! Step to help get off the floor easily.

Hi, my name is Amy and I'm a physical therapist here at the PWR!Gym. Today I want to talk to you about why we do the PWR! Step when we're on our hands and knees or all fours. So I'm going to show you the move first and then I'm going to show you how we can use this to help get up off the floor. When I'm on my hands and knees, I'm going to rock my bottom back like I'm loading up a spring, and I'm gonna step forward. I'm going to show you the same thing on my other leg here. I'm going to rock back, step forward. Now to use this to get all the way off the floor. I'm going to use the chair next to me for a little extra help. I'm going to rock back, step forward. Now I'm going to use the chair for some extra support on my hand. Just step my other foot. Now I'm up in standing so give that a try the next time you're trying to get up off that floor
