Apps to help you get more out of your exercise!
Hi, Calli from the PWR!Gym. Today I want to share with you two of my favorite apps to help you get the more out of your exercise and, plus they are both free. So, I definitely recommend downloading these to your phone or tablet. The first is a metronome, and it is just called Smart Metronome, and when you download it, it is going to look similar to this. I would recommend starting maybe somewhere around 50 beats per minute, I really like to use this app to help anyone who has difficulty with freezing to work on weight shifting. So, if you can hear that right, you just kind of wanna stay on that beat so maybe rock, reset, rock, reset. So that can be helpful for doing your PWR!Moves but also if you're trying to get about and you are experiencing a freeze sometimes that beat gets you out of a freeze and keep moving. The other one I really like is an interval timer. I like this one for if you don’t have access to cardio equipment such as a treadmill or bike or maybe the weather is not great so you can’t go outside for a walk. And you can set it up so you have high and low intensity intervals. So, for example I have this one set up for 40 seconds for a high intensity and 20 seconds at a low intensity. So, I can hit start and for 40 seconds I am going to do as many PWR! Ups as I can, cranking them out trying to get that heart rate up moving big and fast and then when that timer goes off, I am going to give myself 20 seconds to recover and catch my breath and then I want to repeat that for about 10 minutes to get a good cardio workout in. I hope you guys enjoy these apps and find them helpful to get more out of your exercise.
