INTRODUCTION TO THE FELDENKRAIS METHOD
Speaker: Andrew Belser
Wednesday, April 21, 2021
4:30 - 6:00 PM
Please join us for an introduction to the Feldenkrais Method led by Andrew Belser, a certified Feldenkrais instructor and director of the School of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts. The Feldenkrais Method connects mind and body to well-being by increasing healthy function, coordination, flexibility, and rest. Belser will demonstrate slow and methodical body movements that can be done at the comfort of the home while offering alternative movements for those with body movement restrictions. This form of movement exploration is
excellent for people with Parkinson’s disease because of the focus on using internal and external feedback to influence the brain and behaviors for improved functional mobility.
Please note we are taking unlimited seat registrations. We have 98 available spots and they are first come first available.
We ask that you plan to sign in early so we can promptly begin.
We, also, will mute all attendees so the presenter can be heard by everyone.
